The man they call "hands of stone" recovers from two sets down to set up a fourth round match against Robby Ginepri

Fernando Gonzalez was matched at odds of 200 on Betfair to beat Stanislas Wawrinka after going two sets down, but rewarded those who showed faith in him by winning 6-4 in the decider. Over £110,000 was matched on Wawrinka at 1.01 and a further £97,000 at 1.02.

Gonzalez, nicknamed "hands of stone" due to his ferocious forehand, is unfancied to go all the way though and is still currently available at 130 on the winner market. The further he goes though, the more opportunities his backers will have to secure a profit on the market, specially those who backed him at Betfair's maximum price of 1000 during his match with Wawrinka.

Gonzalez will now face the equally temperamental Robby Ginepri in the next round.
