Kvitova can crown a golden year with a tournament win in Istanbul

"Kvitova has a 2-0 head-to-head series lead over Stosur with both matches won in straight sets."

No-one can keep up with a flying Petra Kvitova at the moment and Ben Caudell is backing the Czech starlet to keep a winning run going against Sam Stosur

Petra Kvitova (CZE) v Samantha Stosur (AUS)
Petra Kvitova is in the best form of her fledging career and is arguably in better form than the other seven players in this lucrative event. The 2011 Wimbledon champion is rightly positioned as the odds-on favourite to win the title thanks to an attacking style of play that has so far blown every player aside.

As the only competitor left in the tournament not to have conceded a single set, Kvitova will look to extend her outstanding and unblemished 17 consecutive wins on indoor hard.

The 21-year-old, who is six years younger than Australian Stosur, will be confident in the knowledge that she has a 2-0 head-to-head series lead over the US Open Champion with both matches won in straight sets.

With a superior Match Rating (Match Ratings assess form specific to the current tournament conditions and the opposing player) Surface Rating and Ranking, I can see Kvitova convincingly defeating Stosur and by more than 3.5 games, especially since 19 of her last 20 wins have been won by more than this margin.

Victoria Azarenka (BLR) v Vera Zvonareva (RUS)
Zvonareva was handed a lifeline into the semi-finals last night thanks to Agnieszka Radwanska's capitulation fromt 5-1 up in the first and only needing a set to qualify.

Kvitova ended up winning the match in straight sets allowing the Russian a chance to showcase her talents yet again on the big stage and against a player she is ever so familiar with.

Today's match-up will be the tenth time Zvonareva has played the Belarusian and she has every right to be confident, she leads the head-to-head series 6-3 , has won their only indoor match 6-1 7-6 (Luxembourg 2007) and has won four of her last five matches when priced as a moderate underdog.

Azarenka losing her match against reserve Marion Bartoli in a dead tie last night, and the second favourite for the Istanbul title may not be as confident as we all think.

Although I believe Azarenka will come good in this match, I can't see her overwhelming the former world number two and therefore can see this match passing the 21.5 total games line.
