"The layers have this one as very close, with Djokovic likely to start favourite at around [1.85] and if it’s anywhere near as good as their US Open final last autumn, we could be in for a treat this evening."

Rafal Nadal has a good decent record against Novak Djokovic but can the world number two turn the table on the world number one in the final at Indian Wells?

It was almost two out of two yesterday at the semi final stage of the BNP Paribas Open. Novak Djokovic obliged as advised, but Juan Martin Del Potro failed to see out a 4-1 first set lead over Rafa in my other bet unfortunately.

We're still ahead of those layers though as we enter the final day's play at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and we have the top two players in the world facing off in the championship match today.

Djokovic's win over Roger Federer makes him the world number two, but he'll be conscious that during his recent impressive spell, he hasn't beaten Nadal, so the Serb will be desperate to put that right.

Indeed, Nadal has won their last two clashes, which came towards the end of last season, and both were on hard-courts, but Djokovic holds an overall 5-3 lead on outdoor hard-courts.

Both players have dropped just the one set each all tournament so far and both overcame tough tests yesterday in the semis, with Djokovic having to dig deep to see off Federer.

The layers have this one as very close, with Djokovic likely to start favourite at around [1.85] and if it's anywhere near as good as their US Open final last autumn, we could be in for a real treat this evening.

I tipped Djokovic at the start of the tournament and I'm not going to change my mind today, but it's a tough ask for the Serb against the all-time Masters Series title leader.

Rafa is going for his 19th Masters Series title today and is 18-6 in Masters finals at the moment, while Djokovic is unbeaten in 19 matches in a row since the end of last year.

Nole has never beaten Rafa in a tour level final (0-5 to Nadal), but it's hard to see that streak continuing much longer, given the level that Djokovic is playing at right now. He says he's playing the best tennis of his life right now and with confidence at it's peak, I'm hoping he can prevail today.

Ten of the last 11 Indian Wells finals have been won in straight sets (the only exception being Djokovic's 2008 win over Mardy Fish), so surely it's high time the California public had a classic match to savour.

The total games market looks interesting too, with over 23.5 games looking likely at [2], but I'm going to stay with Novak for the win.

Recommended bet:
Djokovic to beat Nadal at around [1.85]
