Can Andy beat the world number one?
"Although I believe Murray has a great chance of upsetting the odds this evening, it's hard to go against a player who has only lost one match this year."
Andy Murray upset Ben Caudell's bets yesterday by overcoming Mardy Fish but does our man believe the Brit can beat the world number one today?
Novak Djokovic (SRB) v Andy Murray (GBR)
Andy Murray faces the daunting task of meeting world number one Novak Djokovic today for the tenth time in his career. Nole has a amassed a record number of wins, 57 in 2011 and has only one loss to his name all year - against Roger Federer in the French Open semi-finals.
If Murray is to win today, he has to be at his very best and Djokovic needs to be suffering from either a serious injury or overwhelming fatigue. Not only does the Australian Open and Wimbledon title holder have a 6-3 head-to-head series lead over the Brit, he's also accomplished the most formidable statistics recorded by a player in a single year: 33 wins in a row on hard-courts, 21 in a row in North America, 9 in a row in finals, and 16 in a row overall.
Although I believe Murray has a great chance of upsetting the odds this evening, it is hard to go against a player who has only lost one match this year and is in such dominant form, as well as being too short to back at [1.31]. My advice is to take a look at the total games market where there is a good price of 1.90 for the match to be under 22.5 games.
Firstly, only one match from either Murray or Djokovic's tournament contests have been decided in over 22.5 games (Djokovic v Monfils) furthermore, from the eight best of three set head-to-head matches between the pair, only three have exceeded this total games line.
Tonight's match be a real corker. However, I'm sticking to my guns and believe that whoever wins will win in straight sets and under 22.5 Games.
