The ATP Masters Series enters the first of its final two stages in late October as the players head for Madrid, with there likely to be plenty of betting opportunities before the Masters Cup takes place in Shanghai.
So far in the Masters Series betting it has been a closed shop in terms of finding a winner with only three players securing titles in the seven events so far - those being Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
Punters will again cast an eye over the trio as they look to find a winning bet at decent odds for the Spanish leg of the series with defending champion Federer likely to again be a warm order in the betting.
The world number one has so far rewarded those who bet on him on two occasions in the Series after winning in Hamburg and Cincinnati, while being a losing finalist in Monte Carlo and Montreal.
His closest rival in world tennis, Nadal, is also likely to enjoy plenty of support in the match and overall-winner betting markets, having landed three titles to date, his last coming in Rome as he comfortably despatched Fernando Gonzalez 6-2 6-2.
It was Gonzalez himself that lost out to Federer in last year's final in Madrid and for those looking at players with longer odds in the betting or considering an each-way bet, the Chilean may well come under consideration.
The only other Masters Series winner this season is Djokovic, who lifted the trophies in the second Series event in Miami and then in Montreal, following a hard fought battle with Federer.
The Serbian youngster has certainly captured the imagination of those betting on the Masters Series events this season, but disappointingly all bets went down early doors last time out in Cincinnati, when he was put out in the second round by Carlos Moya.
The World No.3 became only the second person, after Tomas Berdych, to have defeated both Federer and Nadal since they became the dominant No.1 and No.2 players in the world and he is likely to have his supporters on the Green Set hard courts of the Spanish capital.
It promises to be another intriguing round of the Masters Series with host of betting opportunities as the players battle it out for the €378,000 winner's cheque.
