Will Murray be in majestic mood today?
"This one could well go the distance... The best bet would have to be backing over 23.5 games at [1.9]."
It's semi-finals day at Queens and all British eyes will be on a certain Scot. But does Sean Calvert believe we should be putting our money on Mr Murray?
It was a great day at the Aegon Championships on Friday for those who followed my advice and backed Jo Wilfried Tsonga, who took out Rafa Nadal at a healthy price of [3.85].
I also advised a back to lay bet at around [21] on Tsonga in my tournament preview, so with the Frenchman currently available to lay at [2.7] an excellent profit has been made on that one as well.
Saturday is semi-finals day at Queen's Club and the match of the day is undoubtedly Andy Murray v Andy Roddick, with Murray the clear favourite at around [1.6].
This is a tough one to call though and I don't think there's much value in the Scot at that price, even after he was handed a path straight to the semis by the hapless Marin Cilic.
Grass-court practice is what the players come here for and Murray might miss that extra match today when he faces the player who shattered his Wimbledon dream in 2009.
The pair haven't played since that Wimbledon semi final that Roddick won in four sets and overall their head-to-head series reads 6-5 in favour of Murray, with the American holding a 2-1 advantage on grass.
One of those was a walkover though, so they're 1-1 in completed matches - both of which have been close affairs and in both, the heavy betting favourite was beaten.
Neither player has enjoyed an entirely comfortable passage to this stage, as you would expect in their opening grass-court matches of the year and I can see this being a close one as well.
Roddick's serve has only been broken once in the tournament so far, but he's not the best returner in the world, so if Murray serves well I can see it being highly likely that a tie break will be played in the match, which is around [1.72].
This one could well go the distance, which would probably suit both players in terms of grass-court practice, so in a tricky match to call an outright winner in, the best bet would have to be backing over 23.5 games at [1.9].
