Democrat Barack Obama has won a landslide victory in the US Presidential Election, though some states are yet to be declared...

Celebrations have broken out across the United States after Obama broke the 270 Electoral College votes mark to make him the de facto President-Elect.

The Democrat had been the hot favourite on Betfair for some time and it is fair to say that he has lived up to this expectation and more.

He has won the key states of Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida. Missouri is still in-play but looks to be going in the blue column too.

The biggest upset of the night looks to be in Indiana, a state George W. Bush won by 20 percent in 2004, which is now [1.13] to be added to the Obama tally. Again, this state is yet to be called by any of the major television networks and betting is still going.

Obama is [1.66] to win the 2012 Presidential Election on Betfair and secure a second term in the White House.
