Barack Obama won the Wisconsin and Hawaii contests on Tuesday, while McCain took Wisconsin and Washington in the Republican race

Barack Obama secured two more wins last night as he extended his lead over Hillary Clinton and maintained his ever-increasing momentum. He won in Wisconsin by 58 percent to 41 while CNN also projects that he will win Hawaii, largely as expected.

The two wins give Obama his ninth and tenth straight victories over Clinton without reply, and takes the delegate count to 1,301 for Obama and 1,239 for Clinton. Obama is currently the hot [1.28] favourite to win his party's nomination, while Clinton is an outsider at [4.7]:

In ther Republican race front-runner John McCain comfortably won the Wisconsin Primary by 55% to Mike Huckabee's 37%. McCain also won Washington state but by just 26% to Huckabee in second on 24%, with Ron Paul finishing a strong third with 22%. You can still back McCain at [1.05] on Betfair in what looks like a near-certainty now that he will go on to secure the Republican nomination.
