Super Tuesday (also known as Tsunami Tuesday, Giga Tuesday, Mega Tuesday, the Tuesday of Destiny, etc) on 5th February 2008 sees 24 states holding primaries or caucuses on the same day, a record number in US electoral history. 52% of Democratic and 41% of Republican delegates are awarded on this day alone, and so it really will make-or-break the contests to become the nominee for each party.
