I’m A Celebrity contestant Dougie Poynter
"Dougie Poynter trades at [5.3] in the Winner market and has been ultra solid (behind Mark) for the entire series; one final good day could make that price a decent trade for him to get to the to the final."
Wee Willie's departure has saddened Alan Dudman, but our man now believes Dougie Poynter has an excellent chance of reaching the final and merit's a solid back-to-lay investment.
We'll never see that Willie wiggle again, and the camp is missing their daddy. Carson was eliminated late on Thursday evening to leave us with just four celebs, but the jungle won't be the same without the Scot. His exit was quite touching, he simply embraced his younger mate and said: "Bye Dougie," and that was that.
Oh, and he got drunk on champers the night before and fell in Antony Cotton's bed. He also shouted at Mark Wright, "Don't be stupid." And I for one, am going to miss him.
Wright is the key player now, despite a drift and in the bottom two on Wednesday. He is still [1.85] to win and [1.55] for top male. He's bonded closely with Dougie Poynter who is his main danger, but is the Essex man playing a canny game? Perhaps so, and he'll be taking Willie's advice of not being stupid (of sorts).
Maybe, just maybe, he's identified the bassist as a rival, which means he's not so hot on his Antony friendship (as he no longer sees him as the threat). It's a theory, and one worth considering before Friday night's Ninth Elimination. In one of the most touching moments of the series, the TOWIE star confided to Poynter about his love life, which prompted the Dougster to reveal his past and how he came through a really tough time in his life. This was a true genuine moment, and there is nothing planned or false about this guy, and he's had a really good couple of days to come out of his shell.
Dougie trades at [5.3] in the Winner market and has been ultra solid (behind Mark) for the entire series. One final good day could make that price a decent trade for him to get to the to the final. There is something quite cool about him, even his "awesome dudes, and well stoked" catchphrases are growing on me. Don't be put off by his 'might be' 24 hours earlier.
Fatima Whitbread is still pitching in there, although she clearly despises Antony, who by an amazing coincidence had the bushtucker trial with the javelin star. They combined to use a giant crane to gain the meals, for which they got a paltry two stars, with Cotton proudly boasting "Mama's doing her best." A reference to him, not her, or was it her? Who knows.
Cotton had a decent show, as the hissy fits were minimal. He won the quiz task, and the camp were treated to several prizes including the Antony Cotton coaster, mouse mat, fridge magnet and framed picture. Which might be found at a car boot sale near you shortly for about a quid.
For Friday's Ninth Elimination, Fatima is once again short at [1.44], but she's survived everything that has been thrown her way. It's a cheap lay if there is a shock to be had, but I don't think there will be. Antony is [2.0] to go, but he should be alright. Whereas the newly bonded pair Dougie [3.5] and Mark [5.0] are slightly bigger odds for the exit door. The sensible play is of course to back Fatima, but I am more interested in the opportunity to trade Dougie in the Winner market.
And once again the final word goes to Willie, who saw the video link of Mark Wright's mum and said: "bloody hell".
