Channel 4 producers must be frightened of losing the gangsta nutter, they've been showing Coolio's sensitive side. Dan Fitch keeps you updated...
Having failed their last task, the housemates are now dealing with the consequences. They have a budget of just £1 a day per person and awoke to find that all the existing food had disappeared. The housemates assumed that it was Big Brother that had taken the food, though if I was them, I'd be checking for crumbs in Tina's bed.
Of all the housemates, it was Mutya that reacted worst to this news. She wanted access to the diary room, but when the door wouldn't immediately open, she threw a big strop. Her display of petulance demonstrated exactly why she was nominated and then evicted from the Sugababes.
"What am I in here for anyway?" whined Mutya. Well I can show you the letter, confirming the cancelation of your record contract again if you need reminding. The tattooed singer has now drifted out to [27.0] in the betting.
Verne remains the favourite at [1.89] despite adding very little to the mix last night. Mini-Me only really shines when given a task, so one can only assume that his diminutive price is based purely upon his diminutive stature.
The house argued over their measly shopping budget. Mouthy Tina stated that she wasn't bothered about tea or coffee, because all she ever drunk was Diet Coke. Why is it that people who drink Diet Coke always tend to be really fat? Last night's show also saw Tina state that she would turn down a part in Notting Hill 2, which must have come as a great relief to Hugh Grant.
There was the first hint of potential conflict between buddies Tina and Ulrika, as they clashed over whether they should purchase tokens for hot water. Ulrika, who had no doubt worked out that Tina's body has a greater surface area than the rest of the housemates, was against the idea of buying tokens. Ulrika is now [17.0], with Tina at [85.0].
The argument proved redundant anyway, as the tokens were not priced at £1 as the celebrities had thought, but were actually £25 each. No wonder they never know the price of a pint of milk.
Last night's show saw the housemates preparing for eviction night. Ulrika said to her fellow nominee Lucy: "My instinct tells me that it will be you", thus proving conclusively that Terry was right to name Ulrika as the housemate with the biggest ego.
Yesterday, I wrote that, having seen the live eviction, I wasn't convinced that Ulrika was really disappointed to be staying. Last night's show confirmed this. Ulrika was happily chatting away, until the exact moment when she heard Davina's voice and realised that she was on TV. She then on cue, burst into tears, but when Lucy was evicted, the look of relief on the Swede's face was clear.
Ulrika was of course quickly back into character and was soon quietly sobbing again (obviously in full view of her fellow housemates rather than privately in a bedroom). Coolio tried to be nice to Ulrika, but couldn't manage to do so without inadvertently being insulting, when he said: "If you can get rid of a girl half your age..."
Terry is no longer Head of House and was told that he must sleep in the bed recently vacated by Lucy Pinder, a chance that most Nuts readers would give their right arm for, if not for the fact that their right arms are in constant use.
Mutya wasn't best pleased to be in a room entirely full of blokes and Tina asked if she could swap beds with either Ben or Coolio in the other room. Coolio said that he would swap with Mutya, as he knew that Ben wouldn't want to leave Michelle. For a second it looked as if Ben might grow a backbone and stand up to Coolio, but the moment quickly passed. If he ever does stand up for himself, expect his price to plummet from the current [8.0].
That exchange aside, Coolio was edited to show his sensitive side last night, in an effort by Channel 4 to keep the most entertaining celebrity in the house. Coolio has cottoned onto the fact that no one likes him and despite putting on a brave face, seemed a little hurt. His price fell down to [28.0] and the producers will be desperate that deadwood such as Michelle at [40.0], leaves before Coolio.
