What could Anestis Metsas buy with is $1m winnings?

Anestis Metsas walked into The Empire casino yesterday as an amateur poker player and ten hours later he walked away as a newly crowned millionaire!

The 23-year old Greek outlasted his 17 opponents to claim the $1,000,000 first prize after qualifying for the Free Million Dollar Game in a freeroll on Betfair Poker, probably the best return on investment in poker history.

After his Ace-Jack trumped Fenchman, Kevin Michoud's King-Nine, the ecstatic said in an interview, ""It's unbelievable to have won, this amazing win has given me the confidence to believe I can compete against the best players in Europe and the rest of the World. Having won I'm now going to buy my way into the £1,000 No Limit Hold'em tomorrow and after that who knows." He also plans a trip to Phuket in Thailand as a relaxing holdiay.

Whilst he has no real plans for spending his new found fortune, I have scoured the internet to see what Anestis Metsas could invest in or blow his $1,000,000 on!

His $1,000,000 converts to approximately €680,038 in his native currency, the Euro. The average yearly salary in his hometown is just €9,600 per year so in theory he could hire a personal assistant and pay them for 70 years!

But hiring an assistant isn't balla as the internet crowd might like to say but he could always buy himself a Ferrari F50 supercar as there is currently one for sale on ebay with an asking price of $985,000!

If cars aren't his thing then this amazing mansion in Florida is available for around the $980,000, or how about a 15.05 carat Harry Winston diamond pendant for $986,500 or maybe an 'Apple Blossom' antique table lamp by Tiffany Studios which would set him back close to $932,500.

However Metsas decides to spend his money I'm sure he'll have plenty of fun doing so.
