The Irish Poker Open appeared to be full of old duffers according to Owen Laukkanen in his top quality live coverage of the tournament. If you don't like horse racing there's little point in reading Bert's Blog because it will bore you soft. However, Betfair's founding father lists one of his interests as poker and he came pretty close to qualifying for WSOPE 2007. Here is his interesting account of trying to qualify for that tournament.
