Attrition is arguably the best in-running angle today, Andrew Reid's sprinter likely to have too much speed for a modest bunch at Southwell, but I thought I'd get into the Festival spirit and nail my colours firmly to Cue Card's mast. Not only does he have the best form by some way, but he's going to be well suited by the almost inevitable furious pace that they'll go (seven of the eight runners either make the running or race prominently according to the Timeform In-Play card), and it isn't hard to see him doing the bulk of his work on the bridle given his style. It's easy to get drawn into piling on underpriced 'Festival bankers', but in the case of today's Supreme Novice, Cue Card should be really be trading at around 7/4 as opposed to the generous [3.75] that can be taken on Betfair as it stands.
