There's no doubt Wolverhampton often favours those up with the pace, but in the case of races like this, where the Timeform In-Play racecard shows us that three of the nine runners are going to be keen to get to the front and aren't going to give up a lead easily, it's the same as any other course in that the race can fall apart in the closing stages. Danderek, Miami Gator and Avonrose all have an 'M' on their ledger and only know one way of going about things, and the likely tussle they're going to get into up front is going to play right into the hands of the patiently ridden, strong-travelling Star Links, who could hardly be in better form coming into this. [6.2] appeals as an excellent price but the Timeform free form site shows that he often trades at shorter in the run, no surprise given how he goes through his races, so there's no harm in putting up an in-running lay.
