It doesn't always need a furious gallop for a hold-up horse to be seen to best effect. There are cases where those that bide their time have the race set up for them even in small-field events and that should prove the case in the claimer at Wolverhampton this evening. The theory is that My Lord and Honkers Bonkers, who both have an 'M' on the Timeform In-Play racecard and only know one way of going about things, will take each other on and go for home sooner than ideal, playing into the hands of the more patiently ridden Better Self. She's got the best previous form to boot and should probably be odds on, so there's definitely good reason for backing her at around [2.44].
