There's only five runners in this sprint, so you could be forgiven for thinking they'll go a steady pace, but that's actually very unlikely. Mandy's Hero, who's got an 'M' on her Timeform In-Play ledger, went off hard when winning her maiden at Kempton, while Mr Optimistic and Johnny Hancocks have made the running in the past, so it's going to be an ideal race for a smooth-travelling type such as Morermaloke, who's bidding to take his record at this trip to 2 from 2. A price of around 3.45 makes plenty of appeal with him, but he's almost certain to be tanking into contention approaching the final furlong and is more than likely to touch odds on in-running, too, so there'll be the opportunity to lay off the stake.
