It's no surprise that there are plenty of bold jumping front runners amongst this field of experienced chasers, but there are arguably too many, and the likes of Soulard, Kachaturian and Amigayle, who all have an 'M' on their Timeform In-Play ledger, could end up cutting each other's throats up front and pave the way for one of the more patiently-ridden types to takeover. That's certainly today's angle, anyway, and of the hold-up horses, the most interesting in my opinion has to be Leading Contender, who's gradually worked his way back after a long absence and left the impression when third at this track recently that his turn isn't far away, particularly when everything falls right for him which it should do in this case. He deserves to be vying for favouritism and is worth backing at around [5.5].
