Billie Magern is unlikely to win this up against a couple of improving novice chasers from powerful yards, such as Paul Nicholls' The Minack, but there's no problem with backing him before the off with an eye to locking in some profit in-running. He hasn't been at his best the last twice, but he's the type who won't stay out of form for long and, as a bold-jumping front runner (the only one on Timeform's In-Play card with an 'M' on his ledger), he'll probably trade at odds of around half the [16.0] that is currently being offered at some point in the run.
