"Persian Prince found only his improving stablemate Tyrone House too good on his first run for eight months.."

The Cheltenham Festival bandwagon rolls on, but there are just two jumps meetings to go at in Britain today.

Charlie Longsdon continues among the winners and his Maurisca (15.20) can gain a second success at Market Rasen this afternoon. The consistent six-year-old shaped well in a similar event at Exeter when last seen in December, getting back into contention after a shocking mistake at the fourth and still managing to finish third to Inside Dealer. Racing off the same mark here, Maurisca should have no problems with the step up in trip and a clear round of jumping will see him bang there.

John Wade is having a fine season and has runners, both as a trainer and owner, with live chances at Market Rasen. His Persian Prince (17.25) makes plenty of appeal in the closing handicap chase after a fine comeback at Musselburgh in January and looks set to grab the spoils. A multiple point winner, Persian Prince ran out an easy winner of a handicap at Sedgefield last May and found only his improving stablemate Tyrone House too good on his first run for eight months 45 days ago, pulling clear of the third.

At Warwick, Shammy Buskins (16.05) can make a winning return for Lawney Hill and Aidan Coleman. The nine-year-old progressed well for the stable last year, winning three times over fences, and reappears over a marathon trip which should prove ideal. Versatile regarding tactics, and effective on soft and good to firm going, he's a most likeable chaser who could have more improvement in him when stamina is at a premium.
