After Tim The Chair did the business yesterday, the pressure is on to produce, but with a trio of strong form fancies spread across three meeting's today, there's every likelihood that we could be in for another profitable day...

We kick off at Bangor-on-Dee, where Copsehill Girl (14:50) bids to add to her recent handicap success on only her sixth starter under Rules. Seemingly improved for the step up in trip last time, she scored with more in hand than the bare margin suggests, despite making mistakes at the final two flights, and must be considered in what looks an ordinary race. She will relish the step up to three miles here and is very much open to improvement, so, providing she can eliminate the errors in her jumping, she should get the ball rolling.

Watergate (15:10), who followed the Tatanen route of leaving Paul Nicholls for Richard Rowe before the start of the season, has dropped to a good mark of late and can take advantage in a weak handicap chase at Folkestone. Making his first start over fences last time, he did well to sustain his effort after racing freely early on, but with front-runners Bearneen Boy and Big Bertie in the race today, hopefully he'll settle better today. Racing on the bridle should allow him to avoid the novicey mistakes he made there and he looks set to go close.

The final selection does feel as if it's bordering on after-timing somewhat, as it appeared that every punter in the country knew that Far View (16:30) was better than he had shown previously when making all at Lingfield five days ago. A very well-backed favourite, he produced a performance that marked him out as being in a different bracket to his contemporaries and it seems advisable to go in again before the handicapper catches up with him, as he's still unexposed over six furlongs. The main problem for him here is that he may not get the uncontested lead that he enjoyed on his reappearance, but he looked far from headstrong that day, and there's every chance that he'll be as effective when taking a lead.
