What's more, going with firm in the description is only going to play to his strengths given his speed.

13:20 - Rawaaj has taken on a new lease of life and can at least go close to making amends for his demotion at Huntingdon. His isn't a clear-cut Placepot case, however, so it's best to add another couple to the mix, with front-running Sonic Anthem and strong-travelling Wetherby winner King Benny getting the other votes.

13:55 - Andhaar will have his work cut out under his double penalty if Brunston takes to hurdling, but a repeat of the form that has seen the Gollings-trained novice win twice should ensure he hits the three.

14:30 - Douglas Julian just keeps on rolling and, with the step up in trip and the possibility of an uncontested lead in his favour, he's going to be very hard to knock out of contention. It's a warm race, though, and recent course runner-up Mostly Bob is best kept on side as well.

15:05 - Empire Levant needs only to stand up to win this in all likelihood in receipt of 6 lb for Palawi. Placepot banker.

15:40 - A troublesome finale thanks to only seven standing their ground, but Sagalyrique could well have turned the corner for his new stable and it's to be hoped the tongue tie continues to have a positive effect. The remainder look weighted up to their best, though the prospect of dictating could see Professor Higgins put up a bold show with his yard's form suggesting fitness won't be any issue (also won first time out in 2009/10).
