"With doubts about most of the opposition, it’s worth banking on the in-form Crazy Eyes in this handicap hurdle."

It's often quiet in the lead up to the Cheltenham Festival but there are a few competitive races at Market Rasen this afternoon and it'll be an ideal time to land a big placepot dividend to fund the week ahead!

14:20 - Patavium is very well handicapped on his best efforts and caught the eye returning from a break at Catterick last month. He'll be sharper for that outing and this looks a weaker contest, anyway. It's also worth keeping King Mak on side, with the potential for an easy lead.

14:50 - Kings Grey is the standard-setter in this novice, having bumped into the progressive Raya Star at Doncaster last time. He'll be suited by today's longer trip and should have things set up for him by market rivals Dineur and Jack The Gent, both of whom are free-going front-runners. Keith Reveley's 7-y-o is banker material!

15:20 - Maurisca is undoubtedly the form pick but has some stamina doubts stepping up in trip this afternoon and, with just seven runners, he's a favourite to try and get beat. Martin Keighley's yard are going much better than when Brimham Boy was last seen and he's a reliable sort, whilst Karingreason is well treated the pick of her hurdles form and seems to be steadily getting to grips with chasing.

15:50 - A tough placepot race, with nothing leaping out as being particularly solid. There's likely to be a strong pace, though, courtesy of the likes of Quintus and Argentia, and that should play to the strengths of Ginger's Lad, who is as least more consistent than most of these. Home She Goes is worth throwing into the mix as well after shaping with promise over a longer trip at this track last time.

16:25 - With doubts about most of the opposition, it's worth banking on the in-form Crazy Eyes in this handicap hurdle. His second at Warwick last time looks a solid effort and Charlie Mann's yard have made a flying start to March, with six winners already.

4:55 - It's impossible to get away from Ballybriggan in this final leg. John Quinn's inmate has strong handicap form to his name and should take this comfortably barring accidents.
