The breaking news from Ditcheat is that Tataniano is unfortunately out for the season.
Clifford wasn't happy with him when he worked this morning. And it just so happened that we had the vet in the yard doing other work, so we got him to do a scan.
And Tataniano has a tiny little tear in his near fore tendon, so is out for the season.
Devastating news for all concerned with the horse. Ruby now switches to Kauto Stone in tomorrow's Tingle Creek. I'll take a look at the race and all my other runners in my Saturday morning column, published at 9am.

Hi Paul
I am a great admirer of you as a genius trainer and the way you handle all the hype regarding the horses, jockeys and great staff to the media in public life. It cannot be easy.
Without being too intrusive I am fasinated to know about your training methods and simply would like to know who you grasped your specific training greatness from and also how you pick your horses for the stable.
Was it passed down from watching another great trainer putting his or her horses through their paces or was it that you had a good idea and simply developed your own training regime and know exactly what you are looking for in a horse for national hunt racing.
Best Wishes
