VERDICT:
It would be dangerous to dismiss DORCAS LANE on her handicap debut. Despite starting at 50/1 on her racecourse debut over this trip at Lingfield she won really well winning by four lengths. It wasn't a great maiden by any stretch of the imagination and this is a lot tougher but the counter argument is further improvement is almost guaranteed and her starting handicap mark could be quite lenient.
