VERDICT:
Miss Lesley held on for third place yesterday ensuring the place return (just) covered the win investment so we ended up just north of break even on the day. A similar strategy bet today with EAGER TO BOW in the 6.40 at Kempton - a race which has taken on a new complexion with the defection of the two at the top of the card. He remains a maiden but a first trip ro Kempton last time out seemed to bring about an improvement and the step back to six furlongs today could finally see the penny drop.
