The XY Factor judges were in cracking form on Sunday with a profit on the day of 28.5 points. They head to Kempton to analyse Monday's bet.
Date:
Monday 13 October
Selected Race:
Kempton 2.10
Suggested Bets (with current Betfair win odds):
1.5 point win / 1.5 point place HURRICANE COAST [7.4]
1.5 point win / 1.5 point place BRANDANE [10.5]
Staking Plan Records (on £1 per point basis):
Yesterday: +28.50
Last Week: +15.59
This Month: +35.24
Today's Verdict:
A very pleasing result on Sunday when the only bet MILNE BAY (3 points each-way) won the opener at Great Leighs at a Betfair SP of 8.6 (win) and 2.9 (place). That gave us a profit on the day of 28.5 points and 35.24 points since the XY Factor began two weeks ago.
We head to Kempton on Monday for the opener at 2.10 where two runners stand out in this handicap where the majority of the field are out of form and/or are unreliable.
The two we like are HURRICANE COAST and BRANDANE. The case for Hurricane Coast is built around his course fourth to Classic Blue last week. He was well-supported that day and it was a much improved effort - particularly as he was slowly away and found trouble in running. The one furlong drop in distance shouldn't pose a problem and the quick reappearance is a positive for this well-handicapped horse.
Brandane makes his all-weather debut and is an interesting proposition given that he was campaigned at a slightly higher level on turf. He's failed to fill the frame in seven career starts but has hinted at ability and the current handicap mark could be generous.

well done mate yeterday and today - I'm paper trading your picks and will give it another month as am always sceptical about new services. If you're still in profit then will start backing them.

Thanks Mike. Good luck. I was very pleased with today's winner given that this was the first time he had hit the frame in seven starts, let alone win !!
