Today's lightly raced mare loves it around here...

At Towcester today in the 3.10 Charmaine Wood looks interesting in this novice hurdle. This Double Trigger mare clearly loves it around here winning the last twice. She is very lightly raced as it appears that she needs time to recover from her exertions. Her current price of [3.65] appears to be appropriate for this event and she should go close.

At Ascot today in the 1.40 the improving Calgary Bay is a very interesting runner in this decent race. I was really impressed with the selection last time out at Cheltenham when he powered up the hill to win in fine style and he should prove hard to beat today. At present he is trading at [2.88] on the exchange.

Later on at Ascot in the 3.55 the progressive Kangaroo Court should go close in this race. Last time out this well regarded individual rewarded regular readers by thrashing a fair field at a generous price of 8/1. He has more to do today but he is very much on the upgrade and his current price of [4.1] looks generous.

Dancer's Serenade is a horse with some potential in the 1.10 at Catterick today. Last time out in a handicap hurdle at Newcastle he shaped as if he needed the run behind Pagan Starprincess. Today he makes his second start for his new conditioner in this beginners' chase and should be ready to do himself justice. At present he is trading at [11.0] on the exchange.

At Ludlow today in the 1.40 , The Package is a horse of interest in this decent race. This horse ran a solid third to Poquelin last time out at Cheltenham after a brave front running effort. Today he faces a couple of serious rivals but if he gets in to a rhythm early on this well bred gelding could make all the running over this course. Currently he is trading at [3.95] on the exchange.

At Newcastle today in the 1pm, Bold Ransom should go well in this interesting race over three miles. Last time out at Carlisle this gelding ran very well behind Skippers Brig in really testing conditions. He impressed me with his jumping that day and that experience will help him today. Currently he is trading at [3.45] on the exchange.

At Great Leighs today in the 4.10 Giant Strides should appreciate the step up to a mile in this maiden. Last time out at Wolverhampton, this Xaar filly ran on very well to finish a fair fourth to Romantic Queen over six furlongs. Today she faces modest competition and will be doing all her best work late in the race. Currently she is trading at [6.4] on the exchange.

At Wolverhampton today in the 4.40, Barwell Bridge should go close in this maiden on the Polytrack. Last time out in a small handicap he met interference in running and could have finished a lot closer to the winner at Lingfield. I only think two or three horses have a realistic chance of winning this event and his current price of [2.14] looks appropriate.
