Kauto Star drifts in Cheltenham betting after fall at Haydock. Betfair Chase won by outsider Snoopy Loopy.
Snoopy Loopy - who went off at a Betfair SP [40.1] - was matched at a high of [210.0] in-running (£6 matched) when winning the Betfair Chase today.
Reigning champ and hot favourite Kauto Star seemed set for victory but a shaky jump at the business end was followed by a tumble at the last to the great horse's backers at [1.11] in-running.
David Pipe's Tamarinbleu led for much of the race and was backed at a low of [1.11] on the run-in but was collared by Snoopy Loopy at the death.
Kauto has slipped in the ante-post Gold Cup betting after the result. Paul Nicholls' eight-year-old now trades at [5.6] for the Cheltenham showpiece.
Kauto can also be backed at [2.2] for the King George.
