Unless they're at St Andrews or Tiger's on song, or both! Open Championships are tight affairs according to the Punter...

A tip-top Tiger Woods has put the field to the sword a few times at the Open Championship - particularly at St Andrews, where last year Louis Oosthuizen was also able to dominate and win by seven shots, but most of the time this great championship serves up a tight finish.

The last time Royal St Georges was used, in 1983, we witnessed a particularly close race which was eventually won by Ben Curtis by a solitary stroke from Thomas Bjorn and Vijay Singh, with Davis Love III and Tiger Woods just one shot further back.

Royal St Georges was the venue ten years earlier when Greg Norman beat Nick Faldo by two and in 1985 Sandy Lyle won here by just one - with only three shots separating the top-ten. And Bill Rogers won here in 1981 by four strokes. That was the first time the course had been used since 1949, when Bobby Locke got the better of Harry Bradshaw in a play-off, and I fancy after fully 52 years we're about due another one.

and it would be no surprise to see another play-off this year. It's a fun market so I won't be going mad but given almost half have gone to a play-off over the last 16 years, a small bet that there will be another this year looks the sensible play.
