Boo Weekley returns to a venue where he has twice been a winner

"This is the perfect venue for Boo to continue his return to form, the former Ryder Cup star has twice been a winner at Hilton Head and looks to be competing in a very winnable three ball on day one..."

Hilton Head demands accuracy, so backing players that have performed well here previously could be the way to profit hopes Dan Gerraghty.

Boo Weekley is definitely showing more signs of life of late, he was third in Peurto Rico in March and 14th last time out at the Shell Houston Open. This is the perfect venue for Boo to continue his return to form, the former Ryder Cup star has twice been a winner at Hilton Head and looks to be competing in a very winnable three ball on day one with Vaughn Taylor and Lee Janzen who are both way down in the Greens in Regulation stats that are important round here.

Brian Gay won the Heritage by 10 strokes in 2009, he hasn't been close to matching that breathtaking form since then, however, he does do well here, the course suits him down to the ground. The course also sets up well for his playing partners Scott Verplank and Tim Clark but the pair had a tough time at the Masters (Clark shot 81 on the Friday), while Gay didn't qualify for Augusta and should be well rested for this week.

Jim Furyk once again performed with credit at the Masters (11th) but he will find this test much more to his liking. Gentleman Jim won here in 2010 and tops the driving accuracy stats on tour this year; that ought to help him find Hilton Head's tiny greens in regulation and he should be too good for Mark Wilson and Kevin Na on day one.

OK, Padraig Harrington is the best scrambler in the business, we know that, but he's going to need to be around here. Getting up and down at Hilton Head is no picnic. I'm happy to take on the resurgent Irishman on his first Heritage appearance since 2001, he may be a little deflated the week after Augusta and has some serious competition in Ernie Els (who won't be missing too many greens) and FedEx Cup winner Bill Haas.
