A pair of very promising golfing talents are ready to make their PGA Tour mark this week, says Paul Krishnamurty

Those looking for the best value among the outsiders for this opening full-field PGA Tour event of 2012 should consider a couple of players who made significant strides forward during 2011, and look ready to breakthrough at this higher level very soon.

Firstly, 24-year-old Kyle Stanley enjoyed an impressively consistent rookie season, missed only one cut after June and registering a total of 12 top-30 finishes, including in five of his last six PGA Tour events. He closed the year pretty well too, finishing 11th in the Australian Open, outperforming several more illustrious compatriots on a tough course.

Stanley's best result to date was finishing runner-up in the John Deere Classic, although after such a promising start to his top-level career, one must expect he won't remain winless for too long.

In so far as Danny Lee only just graduated from the Nationwide Tour, he is a year behind Stanley, although in fact the New Zealander has been well-known in the golf world for much longer, particularly since winning the co-sanctioned 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic in Australia as a teenager.

Lee largely disappeared off the radar afterwards, before enjoying easily his best season last year. Nine top-tens on the Nationwide Tour, including a win in Texas, was enough to gain playing privileges at this higher level, and he also made an impact in a couple of co-sanctioned Euro/Asian Tour events, finishing second in the China Open and fifth in the high-class Singapore Open. Danny won't be trading at these sort of huge odds for very much longer.

The plan is to place two lay orders on each player, first at [15.0] to bank at least six units profit, then for another 20 units at [3.0].
