"Significantly, Chopra has a wealth of experience on the Asian Tour, producing plenty of top-class form when a regular contender over here at the beginning of his career."

Two solid golfers with past winning form are tempting betting options to relive past glories at this week's Iskandar Johor Open

While the line-up for this years' co-sanctioned Johor Open is an improvement on the one Padraig Harrington trounced 12 months ago, it is still hard to make a case for more than a couple of dozen players. In such relatively limited company, it could be worth taking a chance on a couple of players with winning form at a much higher level than this.

Admittedly, Daniel Chopra's finest hour came nearly four years ago, when winning the 2008 PGA Tour season-opener in Hawaii, hot on the heels of another victory in Florida towards the end of 2007. Chopra rather disappeared off the radar afterwards, but seems to have recently found another lease of life, recapturing his PGA Tour card by finishing third in the Nationwide Tour finale on his penultimate start. Form at that lower level should not be underestimated, not least given that last year's graduates included USPGA winner Keegan Bradley and 12 months earlier, Webb Simpson. Significantly, Chopra has a wealth of experience on the Asian Tour, producing plenty of top-class form when a regular contender over here at the beginning of his career.

Wen-Tang Lin will be remembered by Euro Tour afficionados as the man who defied Rory McIlroy his breakthrough title at the 2008 Hong Kong Open. He'll probably never match that superb final round performance, but Lin is a relatively frequent contender on his home tour, most recently finishing fourth in Taiwan last month. Moreover, he's already shown a liking for this Malaysian layout by finishing third behind Harrington last year.

The trading plan is to back Lin at [120.0], Chopra at [130.0], before placing two orders on each player at [12.0] and then [3.0]. Should either man hit the first lay target, we'll double our initial five unit outlay.
