One of the great games in Euros history inspired a market frenzy as tournament favourites Germany forced their way into the final at the expense of a fantastic Turkey side.

Philip Lahm was the hero as Germany wethered an onslaught of attacking football from underdogs Turkey in a five-goal thriller.

Before the game Germany has traded at [1.47] to win in normal time but, despite missing several players through injury, Turkey began the game in spirited fashion with English born Fernabahce midfielder Colin Kazim-Richards hitting the bar.

Minutes later, Turkey took a shock lead when Ugur Boral scored his first international goal.

But Germany struck back in the 26th minute when Bastian Schweinsteiger made a darting run into the box to meet Lukas Podolski's cross and deftly flick the ball into the net.

At the end of a scintillating first-half though, Turkey were still on top and it took the introduction of Torsten Frings to orchestrate better passing in the German midfield.

On 70 minutes 1-1 was trading as a low as [2.36] in the Correct Score market. Germany were favourites to win at [2.62] with Turkey up to [7.2].

Everything changed with eleven minutes to go when veteran Turkish goalkeeper Rustu flapped at a cross, allowing Miroslav Klose to head Germany into a soft lead. Now Germany were down to [1.16] to win with Turkey up to [50.0].

Turkey's price rose as the clock ticked down and, despite having established themselves as tournament comeback kings in previous rounds, scoring the latest goal in Euro's history to take Croatia to a shootout in the quarter-final, they were [95.0] to win when Semih levelled the scores in the 86th minute.

Germany then went to [6.4] for the win with Turkey [14.0] and [1.27] for the draw.

But, as has so often been the case, the German's proved a durable force. Philip Lahm, who had had an un-uncharacteristically poor game, burst into the Turkish penalty area and fired into Receber's goal on 90 minutes making it 3-2 to Germany.

As the referee signalled three minutes injury time Turkey were [1000.0] to win with Germany down to [1.05].

The Turks made fruitless forward surges in seach of an equaliser and when they were awarded a free kick within 25 yards of the German goal they fell to [220.0].

Germany are now [2.24] favourites to win Euro 2008.
