Shane Watson bolsters Rajasthan
"Punters and bookies have always been swayed by the biggest names on show and KKR are more likely to stop traffic"
Shane Warne's side look to continue their streak on Friday against a KKR side who may have found their feet. Ed Hawkins analyses this one
Rajasthan
The Royals are feeling good about themselves with a 100% record so far and for this contest they could welcome back Shane Watson, who has completed duties with Australia in Bangladesh. Watson is in scintillating form with the bat having smashed records in the second ODI: most sixes, most runs in boundaries and the highest score by an Aussie. Johan Botha looks most likely to make way.
Kolkata
The Knight Riders could also be boosted by available Aussies. Brad Haddin and Brett Lee are two of their marquee signings. Shakib al Hasan, the Bangladesh skipper, is also a potential starter. It would be harsh, however, on the XI who beat Deccan last time out. Ryan Ten Doeschate, the Essex man, is most likely to be back on the bench.
Match odds
It seems odd that the Royals, who have home advantage and are high in confidence, are considered outsiders for this game. But in fact it is pretty normal for cricket betting. Punters and bookies have always been swayed by the biggest names on show and KKR are more likely to stop traffic.
Still, the Royals are our wager. We are on them to win the thing and that is going nicely so we won't lose faith now. At [2.2] they are worth a back-to-lay. It would be a surprise if they do not trade at [1.7] at some point. KKR are [1.79].
Top batsman
Watson, the man the world will want to get with, is expected to go off at about [4.0]. He should open the batting, probably at the expense of Rahul Dravid who will be around [4.5]. Ross Taylor is [5.0]. For KKR, Jacques Kallis, who top scored against Deccan, is the [4.0] jolly.
