Virender Sehwag may finally come good in this game
"Deccan were wayward against King's XI and Sehwag, brutal on anything off line, could make hay"
Ed Hawkins reckons the Chargers bowling could come under fire at the Kotla on Tuesday
Delhi
The Daredevils are relying on Australia talent this term. And not exactly household names. Opener David Warner is well known but Aaron Finch, Matthew Wade and James Hopes are solid rather than spectacular. Still, reliability is the name of the game and Hopes got them home against Pune last time out in a big run chase. They also have Travis Birt and Andrew McDonald waiting in the wings.
Deccan
The Chargers have a solitary victory to their name from four matches and it would be reasonable to reckon their struggles could continue. Kumar Sangakkara aside their batting looks frail with JP Duminy not coming to the party. It could be time for Cameron White or Michael Lumb to get a chance.
Match odds
Rather lazily the Feroz Shah Kotla is written off as a bowlers' paradise but the stats tell a different story. The average first-innings score in IPL3 was a massive 173 so although there have been too low scores this time around, don't surprised to see plenty of runs. This could be a cracker to trade with Delhi [1.71] and Deccan [2.08] close in the betting.
Top batsman
We are still waiting for Virender Sehwag to explode and perhaps this could be his time against a Deccan attack which failed to restrict King's XI last time out. They were wayward in that contest and Sehwag, brutal on anything off line, could make hay.
Best bet: V Sehwag top Delhi bat @ [4.00]
