The first test for new franchise Pune is against their captain's old side, the glamorous but inconsistent Kings XI. Can Yuvraj put one over on his former teammates?

Pune
New boys Pune have the largest squad in the IPL and theirs is the tougher selection task. The chalk and cheese pairing of Graeme Smith and Robin Uthappa will open up, Jesse Ryder will feature with Yuvraj Singh and there is likely to be a chance for Wayne Parnell to get a game, having spent much of the World Cup kicking his heels.

Kings XI
The evergreen Adam Gilchrist will be opening once again, with David Hussey and Dinesh Karthik providing the backbone in the middle order. Piyush Chawla and Praveen Kumar are the main men with the ball, probably backed up by Ryan Harris. Look out for South African youngster David Miller if he gets a chance.
