Adam Gilchrist will want to go out on a high after rumours this may be his last season in the IPL

"Kochi come into this game on the back of a trouncing from Bangalore whilst the Kings XI will be feeling good about themselves, having thrashed Mumbai. Kings XI it is then at [2.0] or better."

This is a must-win game for both sides if they're to qualify for the play-offs of this year's IPL. The odds make it a 50/50 game but there are good reasons to side with Adam Gilchrist's men.

Kochi Tuskers

The Tuskers' form on the road has been abysymal, losing all six games which looks like costing them a place in the top four. Their home form has been brilliant, winning all five matches at the Nehru Stadium in Kochi, and remarkably they still have an outside chance of qualifying for the knock-out stages. They'll be looking to Brendon McCullum to get their innings off to a flyer; they know that the Kiwi is capable of winning a game almost single-handedly, ā la Chris Gayle.

Kings XI Punjab

Adam Gilchrist's men need to win their remaining games and have other results go their way if they're to make the top four but they will take heart from their superb victory over Mumbai on Tuesday. Prior to the Mumbai game they had lost five matches on the trot but if their Aussie contingent of Gilchrist, Sean Marsh and David Hussey step up to the plate and make big scores there's still an outside chance they could qualify for the knock-out stage.

Match Odds - Kochi Tuskers[2.0] Kings XI [2.0]

The market clearly thinks that this game is too tough to call but there are a couple of angles that point towards a Kings XI win. Kochi have been unbeatable at home but this game is the first match at their second home ground, which is in Indore, not Kochi. Momentum and confidence are two precious commodities for any team and Punjab have the edge in both departments. Kochi come into this game on the back of a trouncing from Bangalore whilst the Kings XI will be feeling good about themselves, having thrashed Mumbai. Kings XI it is then at [2.0] or better.

Kings XI Top Scorer

The Aussie trinity of Gilchrist, Marsh and Hussey will attract the money in this market but Paul Valthaty is capable of a big score as he proved when making 120 against Chennai. Odds of [4.5] on Gilchrist's opening partner top scoring for Punjab should be available.

Best Bet: Kings XI Punjab to win at [2.0]

Please can you correct the review as this is giving out incorrect information.

The Kochi Home form at the old stadium is Weak due to the poor pitch. whilst there away from is better and so there "new" home pitch will suit there pace attack.
