Hussey, D should feature for Punjab
"Punjab were abject in their opener, dropping three catches and putting in a shocker of a batting performance, including a comedy run out involving Sunny Singh."
Punjab were woeful in their opening game and will need to improve considerably if they are to challenge the reigning champions.
Punjab
We can expect some changes for Punjab after their horror show against Pune at the weekend. David Hussey may be drafted in to bolster the batting, Ryan Harris would give the bowling more of a cutting edge and there may be a place for exciting South African batsman David Miller.
Chennai
Doug Bollinger and Dwayne Bravo are injured and Michael Hussey is still away on Australia duty so we won't see too many changes for Chennai. If they want an extra seamer, Nuwan Kulasekara or Yo Mahesh are the likely options.
Match Odds
Punjab were abject in their opener, dropping three catches and putting in a shocker of a batting performance, including a comedy run out involving Sunny Singh. Adam Gilchrist is a capable captain and, as he did with Deccan Chargers, he can turn this team around, but it will take time. Chennai are weak in the seam bowling department, but they have more than enough for Punjab and are solid [1.41] favourites.
Top Opening Partnership
Gilchrist had an ordinary IPL 3, is only just the right side of 40 and hasn't played in a year. He's vulnerable at the moment and it makes sense to side with Murali Vijay and Anirudha Srikkanth in the Top Opening Partnershp market at [1.75] or better.
