Michael Hussey is available for Chennai
"It will probably come down to which set of batsmen are in the better touch. Bangalore have thrown in two poor batting performances whilst Chennai set a big score against Punjab, only to be let down by their bowlers."
Two of the IPL big guns come together on Saturday, looking to get their campaigns back on track after lack lustre performances in their previous matches.
Chennai
Michael Hussey has returned from Australia duty and will strengthen the already formidable batting line-up. Scott Styris or the under-performing Albie Morkel could make way and either South African all-rounder Faf du Plessis or Sri Lankan seamer Nuwan Kulasekara could get a game.
Bangalore
Dirk Nannes injury is a significant handicap and they may need to call on the experience of Charl Langeveldt to bolster their fast bowling or possibly look to Nuwan Pradeep, the exciting young Sri Lankan quick.
Match Odds
Both these teams are reliant on slow bowling, but Chennai is a spin-friendly venue so neither will be too handicapped. It will probably come down to which set of batsmen are in the better touch. Bangalore have thrown in two poor batting performances whilst Chennai set a big score against Punjab, only to be let down by their bowlers. With all their batsmen in good nick, Chennai are the sensible pick at [1.78]
Top Chennai Batsman
Murali Vijay at 1 and Suresh Raina at 3 are the only fixed positions in the Chennai line-up so it makes sense to stick with one of them. Preference is for the prolific Raina at [4.0] or better.
Best Bet
Andrew Hughes says: Back Suresh Raina to top score for Chennai @ 4.0
