IPL Betting: Bangalore v Chennai
AB has been solid in IPL4
"Both these sides have qualified for the finals and they are likely to be taking it easy"
These two sides could be taking it easy ahead of the finals when they meet in Bangalore on Sunday but Ed Hawkins reckons CSK are worth a trade
The Royal Challengers' surge has been powered by Chris Gayle but he failed last time out against King's XI. If Chennai can get him early they will be confident of victory. Charl Langeveldt, with two wickets in that game, has form as does AB De Villiers, who top scored with 34.
Chennai are looking powerful. Last time out against Kochi Wriddhiman Saha top scored with 43 while Ravi Ashwin was meanness personified with 1-16. Down the order Dwayne Bravo and Albie Morkel add batting strength.
It is not advisable to let match bets run on a meaningless game. Both these sides have qualified for the finals and they are likely to be taking it easy. Certainly RCB did that when their seven-game streak was snapped by King's by a ridiculous 111-run margin.
Chennai have won seven of their last eight, too. Bangalore are [1.89] for this contest with Chennai [1.93]. We would favour a trade on Chennai (back-to-lay) but it's a quick in and out strategy.
Top Chennai batsman
CSK won by 21 runs when the sides met previously, largely thanks to runs from Mike Hussey, the opener. He top scored with 83. AB De Villiers, with 34, took honours for Bangalore.
