Australia have already secured their semi-final place but the hosts need to pull off a surprise victory if they are to continue in the tournament. Andrew Hughes previews the last of the Group F games.

Venue and Conditions

The forecast for Tuesday's games is for showers and that could have some bearing on what the captain who wins the toss decides to do. West Indies have already benefited from the way that the Duckworth Lewis method works in Twenty20 cricket and it wouldn't be a surprise to see this game settled in a similarly unsatisfactory fashion.

Team News

The West Indian pace duo of Kemar Roach and Jerome Taylor may not be as effective on this benign pitch as they were in Barbados and with Darren Sammy, Dwayne Bravo and Keiron Pollard also in the team, they may be tempted to bring in an extra spinner in Nikita Miller.

Assuming that Mitchell Johnson has experienced no further flare up of his elbow infection, the Aussies should be unchanged for this one.

Match Odds

Losing their opening Super Eight game to Sri Lanka was always going to make the path to the semi-finals a tough one for the hosts and now it is Australia who stand in their way. But any hope that Chris Gayle's side may have about the Aussies taking their foot off the gas for this one would be unfounded. Michael Clarke's side look the best in the tournament and they won't want to lose momentum ahead of the semi-finals. They have the West Indies outgunned in pretty much every department and they are justifiably as short as [1.45] to end the home side's party on Tuesday.

Top Batsman

Gayle was back on form against India and it makes sense to side with the West Indian skipper at around [4.0], particularly as the rest of the batting order is more fluid and only Gayle and Shivnarine Chanderpaul seem to have fixed slots.

Cameron White and Mike Hussey came to Australia's rescue on Sunday, but they bat too low down to recommend at these odds and with Brad Haddin out of touch and Michael Clarke not a natural Twenty20 player, you can take your pick from Shane Watson at [4.25] or David Warner at [4.5]

Featured Market

Each of the first four games at this venue produced a half-century so you should consider backing 'Yes' in the Fifty Scored Market at [1.75] or better.

Trivia

Darren Sammy was the first St Lucian cricketer to represent the West Indies.

Andrew Hughes says: Back Chris Gayle to top score for West Indies at [4.0] or better.
