TQ looks at the names that made the headlines in sport last week and those who can make an impact this week
A is for AC Milan. The Italian giants ensured that they qualified in the top spot for the next phase of the Champions League with a 1-0 win over Celtic. Milan have now headed off for the FIFA World Club Cup, check out the Winner market for this competition where they are trading at around 1.8
B is for Bolton. Gary Megson has reinstalled the values that made Bolton a successful team over the last few years and the results are now following. Victory in midweek over Crvena Zvezda was followed up with a comprehensive 4-1 win over Wigan at the weekend. The resurgence in form has seen them out to 5.6 in the league Relegation market.
C is for Calzaghe. Joe Calzaghe has finally got the recognition he deserves with his victory in the SPOTY awards. He edged out Lewis Hamilton and Ricky Hatton in a great night for the Calzaghe family. I am sure we will see Calzaghe back in the ring next year so watch out for that announcement and the relevant markets to follow.
D is for Ding. The UK Champs is the second biggest snooker tournament and all the top players will be going full out to win it. The man to watch out for is Ding Junhui, he has overcome the rockiest patch of his career so far and will be a big danger. Check out the Winner market where Ding is currently 6.6
E is for Els. In a quite astonishing end to the Alfred Dunhill Championships Ernie Els somehow contrived to record a triple bogey eight on the final hole when holding a two shot lead. John Bickerton was the grateful and somewhat surprised recipient of the Els meltdown. How will this affect his odds this week? Take a look at the outright Winner market on the SAA Open to find out.
F is for Fabio Capello. Things are starting to develop in the Next England Manager saga and Capello is the man who finds himself at the head of the market. With potential candidates ruling themselves out of the running almost daily, attention has now turned to Klinsmann and Lippi as possible successors to McClaren. Keep a close eye on the market at all times and you will see plenty of value.
G is for Ganguly. Sourav Ganguly may have been around the International scene for a long time but he won't have played many finer innings than his maiden double century against India last week. A superb knock of 239 has put India in the driving seat against Pakistan. Check out the Match Odds for the latest price movements.
H is for Henry. Graham Henry was reappointed as head coach of New Zealand after careful consideration by the NZRU. Henry will be hopeful that he can prove over the next two years that he is worthy of another crack at the World Cup. They are already odds on for that event in the market currently on site.
I is for Inter. A 4-0 win over Torino confirmed Inter's place at the top of Serie A. They are still unbeaten in the league and have got a comfortable looking five point lead over Roma. If you think they are looking unbeatable in the title race then the 1.33 available in the league Winner market will seem very attractive.
J is for John. Stern John has had plenty of clubs during his career but there are no signs of him moving on from Southampton at the moment. The hitman bagged a hat-trick against hapless Hull at the weekend and that has taken his tally to nine league goals this season. He is currently trading at around 30 in the Top Goalscorer market for the Championship.
K is for Khan. Amir Khan may only be 21 but he is looking every inch the real deal. He destroyed Graham Earl with some ferocious shots on Saturday night that had the fight all over inside the first round. Is it a case of when and not if he becomes a World champion? Check out a market on site called Khan World Champion? if you think he will be a World Champ before January 2009.
L is for Lonard. Peter Lonard deservedly captured the Australian PGA Champs for the third time on Sunday with a scintillating final round 65. Neck and neck with Rory Sabbatini heading into the back nine the Aussie pulled away for an impressive win. He will now head off for this weeks' Australian Open, where the market is currently headed by Aaron Baddeley.
M is for Mayweather. Love him or loathe him, Money Mayweather is a phenomenal boxer. In a masterclass of a performance on Saturday night he totally outboxed a valiant Ricky Hatton. It was a super night for sport and hopefully we will see both fighters back in the ring again next year. Watch out for any markets involving these great fighters.
N is for Norway. In Ole Einar Bjoerndalen Norway have one of the greatest biathletes of all time. On the top of his game he is a machine and no other biathlete can get near him. He was at his imperious best last week as he claimed a Pursuit victory and then led Norway to a comfortable win in the relay. The tour heads to Slovenia this week, check out all the markets available.
O is for Olympiacos. Greek giants Olympiacos continued their impressive home form with a smashing 4-0 win on Sunday. That win keeps them just 3 points behind leaders AEK Athens. Olympiacos are still slight favourites in our market to take the title but it's still very much all to play for.
P is for Pozzi. Empoli striker Nicola Pozzi hit four goals in their relegation battle against Cagliari on Sunday. A rare feat at the best of times, let alone when your team has only scored 7 goals in the previous 14 games. Will this win spark a revival for Empoli? Check out how they fair in the Relegation Market for Serie A and make your decision.
Q is for Quagliarella. Udinese are having a fantastic season and the man behind it all is super striker Fabio Quagliarella. Another brace from him at the weekend secured a 3-2 win over Sampdoria. Up into fourth in the league they are certainly worth a look in the Top 3 market for Serie A.
R is for Ryan Giggs. One of the best players to grace the Premier League, Giggs hit a landmark 100th league goal on Saturday against Derby. He is only the 11th player ever to achieve that feat and he fully deserves all the plaudits he gets. Man Utd have a massive game against Liverpool next weekend, where Giggs will be desperate to add to his tally. Check out all the markets for that match.
S is for Sangakkara. Kumar Sangakkara is the most feared batsman in test cricket at the moment and he was once again the difference in the first test against England. Scores of 93 and 152 were enough to prevent England reeling them in on a dramatic final day. The second test is under way this week and there are plenty of markets available in running throughout the whole match.
T is for Twist Magic. At a rain soaked Sandown, Paul Nicholls once again claimed the big win of the week. Twist Magic powered up the hill to an impressive win over favourite Voy Por Ustedes. He has now been installed as favourite in the Antepost market for the Champion Chase at Cheltenham in March.
U is for Unbeaten Runs Gone. Going into last weekend both Arsenal and Liverpool had unbeaten league records to protect. Coming out of it, both teams had been beaten by opponents from the bottom half of the table. The league Winner market is absolutely thriving, with Man Utd just favourites at 2.22.
V is for Van Nistelrooy. Real Madrid kept their four point lead at the top of La Liga thanks to a Ruud van Nistelrooy strike on Saturday night. The La Liga winner market is very tight with nothing to choose between Real and Barcelona. Do you think that the 4 point lead makes Madrid's price one full of value?
W is for West Ham. The Hammers really have turned their fortunes around. This time last season things looked bleak for them but they look a much better unit now. A 1-0 win at Blackburn at the weekend moved them up into 10th place and bearing down on the European spots. They are trading at around 8 in the Top 6 market if you fancy them to continue this winning streak.
X is for X-Rated. There are x-rated games and then there is Atletico Madrid v Getafe. The La Liga clash had an amazing eleven bookings and four red cards. This is something of a regular occurrence in La Liga so keep any eye out for our range of bookings markets for this week's live La Liga games.
Y is for Yakubu. A hat-trick for inform striker Yakubu has thrust him up the Premier League Top Goalscorer charts. He now has 8 goals, just one behind Ronaldo and Adebayor. The market suggests a wide open race for the honour and Yakubu must be worth a look at around 18.
Z is for Zzzzz. Barnsley scraped a 0-0 draw with Palace at the weekend but their fans must be getting a little tired of their misfiring strikeforce. Barnsley have failed to find the net in four of their last six games. They visit Shef Utd on Saturday and you have to fancy they will struggle their too. Check out all our goals related markets for that match.
