Two big mouths go head-to-head at the weekend. But you don't win many fights at this level by calling your opponent the most names, you win them through a combination of stamina, skill, speed and style. Who has the most of those four, asks Alex Steadman.

I hope the new Wembley Arena ring is big enough to fit the egos of both Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury as two of the loudest mouths in British boxing go head to head for the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles this weekend.

Reigning Champ Chisora ([1.77]) once tried to chomp on a rival's ear a few years back and regularly appears at press conferences with a cap sporting the emblem 'The Greatest' and believe me, it is not in homage to Ali. Fury ([2.34]) meanwhile has regularly said he'll whip David Haye on route to World Title glory. Shrinking violets short on confidence the pair are not but as they say stateside, someone's O has to go and with it likely a punctured reputation too.

For the winner, the big stage probably beckons. The garrulous duo share almost identical, 14-fight unbeaten records with Fury's 10 KO's one more than Chisora. Fury has also crammed his experience in double quick time as he made his debut nearly 2 years after the Londoner. Indeed, Fury fought eight times in 2009 and has already had four bouts in the year building up to this. Business might be an issue here as Chisora hasn't fought since last September, five months more than his longest layoff, due to his surprise on-off date with Vladimir Klitschko. But at least he has been in the gym preparing. Rather this will boil down to who can impose their tactical will upon the other.

There is no doubt that Fury has the physical presence to dominate a fight like this, he is after all three inches taller than Vladimir Klitschko. But the height and long levers are only advantages if you decide to use the tools at your disposal and there is still the feeling that Tyson neglects the jab too often. There is also the niggling doubt as to whether he has the discipline for a big twelve-rounder like this. That jab and his size are potential fight winners though.

Chisora meanwhile has developed into a solid looking all-rounder. He doesn't do anything particularly flash but he is quite quick and fast-handed for a heavyweight and he seems to have learned fast too. His win over Sam Sexton back in September was more impressive than the name success previously over the shell of Danny Williams and I liked the way he worked his opportunities before finishing the job for that latter victory. Chisora won't be fearful of putting it on Fury and he certainly has the speed to get in range.

I think Chisora deserves to be slight favourite though it really is a tight contest. Fury has the ability and the tools to win on points if he is disciplined enough but I reckon Chisora is the more developed fighter right now and the timing of this might just favour him. It will be worth watching as Channel 5 venture into big time boxing for the first time and it may be that 'Del Boy' Chisora can make Fury his Rodney and won't he rap like his namesake if that unfolds.
