Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Hansen bounced back from defeat at Gulfstream in January with an authoritative success in the G3 Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct on Saturday...

The grey son of Tapit, with blinkers off for the first time, overcame a wide draw and a change in running styles to beat My Adonis by three lengths in the 8.5f contest on dirt (watch the video of his win below).

He settled just behind the early pace before getting readily on top in the final quarter of a mile. There were six lengths and more back to the remainder in a race in which Hansen conceded weight all round.

Timeform rated the bare form of Hansen's win at 121 and has upped his master rating to 123, which is second only to Union Rags among Kentucky Derby contenders at this stage.

Hansen can be backed at [10.0] on Betfair for the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on May 5. Union Rags heads the ante-post market at [5.0].
