Fillies have a poor record in the Triumph Hurdle, but punters are confident that Lounaos can deliver the goods at the Festival in this week's Jcb Triumph Hurdle.
If successful, the four-year-old would become just the fourth of her sex to win the juvenile hurdlers' championship at Cheltenham on Friday.
The Eoin Griffin-trained filly won her first two starts over hurdles in smooth style, but actually enhanced her reputation in defeat on her latest outing at Leopardstown.
Despite her inexperience, Lounaos genuinely competed with three Champion Hurdle horses in Hardy Eustace, Brave Inca and Macs Joy when fourth that day. The especially pleasing factor for backers was the manner in which her hurdling stood up to that tough examination.
Lounaos is clear favourite with Betfair in the Triumph Hurdle market, trading at 4.7.
