Willie Mullins believes Ruby Walsh might not be able to resist the opportunity of riding the ante-post favourite in the John Smith's Grand National at Aintree on April 14...

Ruby Walsh has already won the National twice and Prince De Beauchene, who tops the market, heads Mullins' team of six left in the world's most famous steeplechase.

Prince de Beauchene is currently Timeform top-rated for the Grand National, considered 12 lb superior to his nearest rival at the weights after his impressive victory in the Bobbyjo Chase last time.

"I imagine Prince De Beauchene and On His Own will run. I've got Quel Esprit, Apt Approach, The Midnight Club and Quiscover Fontaine still in there," Mullins told At The Races.

"We'll just see closer to the time what will go, but I'll be happy to get Graham Wylie's two horses there (Prince De Beauchene and On His Own). They would be a nice team on their own just going.

"I haven't asked Ruby yet what's he going to ride, but I imagine it's always nice to ride a favourite (Prince De Beauchene)."

Quel Esprit stood his ground at the latest scratchings stage this week despite being a late withdrawal from the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

"Paul (Townend) had ridden him on the morning of the race and wasn't happy with him. He couldn't pinpoint it," the County Carlow trainer went on.

"We thought it might be in his front end. I left him with vets in England. He's coming back today and they thought it might be something in the back end.

"I don't know. He just wasn't right. He appears to be fine now and we'll see what he's like when he comes home tomorrow or the next day."

Prince de Beauchene currently trades a ([11.0]) for the Grand National, with The Midnight Club and On His Own available at ([42.0]) and ([38.0]) repectively.

Timeform weight-adjusted ratings:
193 Prince de Beauchene
181 Sunnyhillboy
179 Synchronised
179 Burton Port
178 Giles Cross
178 Neptune Collonges
178 Weird Al
