Sam Waley-Cohen after parting company with Roulez Cool at Cheltenham
"He had been off a long while so he just got a bit too excited and over exuberant.
Roulez Cool remains a possible runner in the Grand National, despite unseating Sam Waley-Cohen in the Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham on Friday.
Trained by Robert Waley-Cohen, the owner of Long Run, Timeform 129-rated Roulez Cool was in the front rank before getting rid of his rider at the ninth fence.
The nine-year-old could now run at Newbury on Friday before heading to Aintree on April 14.
Waley-Cohen snr said: "He came back in good order.
"I've entered him for Newbury on Friday as he only really went a mile before cantering back.
"He had been off a long while so he just got a bit too excited and over exuberant.
"I've left him in the Grand National and I won't be scratching him on Tuesday, which is the next stage.
"He's got a nice weight of 10st 5lb, which Sam could do, and I think he's a horse that could go well there."
Roulez Cool is currently a huge [200.0] for the Grand National (April 14) on Betfair, with Prince de Beauchene ([11.5], Junior ([15.5]) and Ballabriggs ([16.5]) heading the market.
