Dun Doire is proving to be a popular selection in Betfair's ante-post Grand National market following the announcement of the weights on Tuesday.
The Tony Martin-trained gelding is the favourite at 14 after he was allocated just 10st 8lb in the Aintree marathon.
Martin believes the eight-year-old's weight gives him a leading chance and is expected to give Dun Doire just one or two more outings, before the big day on April 14.
The trainer said: "I'd have to be delighted with that. I think 10st 8lb is a lovely weight for him.
"You can never really know how well they're weighted with the Liverpool factor coming into play but it seems grand.
"The most important thing is just to get him there in one piece and if he gets a touch of luck in-running that's a lovely weight.
"I definitely think we'd like to give him one run and possibly a couple before we get there, but I wouldn't know where he'll go yet."
Numbersixvalverde and Far From Trouble are next best in an Irish dominated top of the market on 16, ahead of last year's fourth Nil Desperandum who is available at 19.
Dun Doire has raced over the Aintree fences once before when being badly hampered and brought down at the Chair in the Becher Chaser in November. Aside from that, the gelding boasts a 100 percent record in England having scored at Wetherby, Haydock and Cheltenham.
Last season's William Hill Trophy Chase winner will be bidding to become only the fourth eight-year-old to win the famous race in the past 30 years, following in the footsteps of Corbiere (1983), Party Politics (1992) and Bindaree (2002).
