The pressure has eased on Neil Lennon after a swift transformation
"Celtic are on a run of four straight SPL victories that marks their longest winning streak of the season, and [1.66] seems a generous price on them extending it."
Michael Lintorn is backing Celtic to sustain the form that has launched them right back into the SPL title race against underperforming Dundee United...
Dundee United v Celtic, Sunday 12:45 BST, Sky Sports 1, Match odds: Dundee United [6.2], Celtic [1.66], The Draw [4.0]
Having at one stage in November trailed Rangers by 15 points, Celtic ended the month only four points adrift and right back in the picture, and they will be looking to make further inroads over the ever-hectic festive period.
Rangers will welcome the opportunity to play first this weekend, hosting struggling newcomers Dunfermline on Saturday, meaning that it might be Celtic back under pressure by the time they make the trip to Tannadice on Sunday.
The Bhoys' recent run of results in the face of criticism of boss Neil Lennon and speculation over his future shows that they are well equipped to handle that though, and a marginal midweek Europa League loss to Atletico Madrid is unlikely to derail them domestically.
Indeed, contrary to this writer's expectations, their Europa League reprieve having initially exited to FC Sion has been far from the disaster it appeared. Celtic have fared well in a tough group, retaining a small chance of progression, and that success against illustrious opposition has inspired belief.
The consequence has been a chain of four straight SPL victories that marks their longest winning streak of the campaign, and [1.66] seems a generous price on them extending it against a side accustomed to fighting for third but failing to hit those heights this season.
Dundee United have triumphed in just two of their eight home games and were defeated in front of their fans by the clubs either side of Celtic - Rangers and Motherwell. The hosts have won only two of their last eight and have lost six in seven to their visitors, the latest clash ending 5-1 at Parkhead.
Over 2.5 goals at [1.8] and both teams to score at [1.77] also appeal, the former bet delivering in four of their last five meetings and the latter in all of them. In addition, Lennon's men have kept just one clean sheet in six on their travels.
Best Bet: Both teams to score @ [1.77]
Other Recommended Bet: Celtic to win @ [1.66]
